Barely five days after dethroning Olisa Agbakoba Legal to win its maiden BOA Lawyer League trophy, officials of Falana & Falana have already started planning the strategy that would ensure they retained the trophy next year.

Falana & Falana beat defending champions, Olisa Agbakoba Legal by a lone goal scored by Akin Dada in the first half of the final of the competition played at Nigeria’s best corporate football field, AstroTurf 2000, Ikoyi, Lagos.

Although the winners had at some point in the game played with a man short when Tayo Fatusin and Skipper Stanley were sent off at different periods, the team friom tehe Ikeja GRA held on to win their maiden title.

Speaking after the game, an elated principal partner of Falana & Falana, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), who watched the proceeds from the stand, expressed his happiness with the victory.

“This is great, although the officiating of this final was poor. I am happy that both teams that played in the final are human rights advocates. As is normal in every sport, a winner must emerge. I am glad we did.”

He promised to handsomely reward the team, adding that they would begin preparations for the next edition of the competition immediately.
