Ikoyi Club 1938 will host this year’s national finals of the prestigious International Pairs, the organisers have disclosed.

The annual competition is organised by Falcon Golf Development Company Limited, whose Chief Executive Officer, Remi Olukoya, revealed during the week that the event will hold between October 7 and 9 at the golf section of Ikoyi Club.

Olukoya urged sponsors to come and take the huge advantage which the host venue, the quality of players and the tournament itself has to offer.

He explained, “International Pairs, as the name implies, is an International event that gives Nigerians the opportunity of competing at the world finals with others from around the world. Nigeria Placed third at the 2015 event. Because of this, participation is always huge as golfers fly in from across the country to take part in the competition, thus offering quantifiable mileage to the sponsors and participants.”

He revealed that over 100-pairs are expected to take part in this year’s competition, adding there will also be guest players as well, all taking part in the competition.

Olukoya explained that players, who may miss out of the qualifiers, also have the opportunity of joining the winners for a trip to the World Finals in Spain later in the year.

“The International Pairs is all about creating memories and friendships that will last a lifetime,” he added.

The 2016 World final would be hosted by Marriott Hotel La Sella Golf Resort & Spa Dénia, Alicante, Spain.
