LMC begins search for Irabor’s replacement
The new helmsman will replace the pioneer CEO, Mr. Nduka Irabor, who resigned from the position recently.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in a statement yesterday, said it has mandated LMC’s Chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko, to, as soon as “possible, propose and conclude the process of recruiting a suitable CEO line with the governance structure of the company, ahead of the commencement of the new NPFL Football Season, scheduled to kick off between the last week of September and the first week of October 2020.”
Pioneer Chairman of the League Management Company (LMC), Hon. Nduka Irabor, withdrew from the management of Nigeria’s topflight Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in December.
Six-and a-half years ago, Irabor, a former chairman of the Communications Committee of the House of Representatives, took charge of the then League Management Committee and incorporated a statutory independent body to manage the league.
He left the position in December last year to concentrate on his private business.
